Nigerian singer Destiny Boy and his partner Iremide have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The 20-year-old artiste shared the joyous news on Instagram early Wednesday, posting photos of Iremide and their newborn.

Expressing gratitude, Destiny Boy wrote, “Alhamdulillah. Junior is here. My first son.”

The announcement drew a flood of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow musicians in the comment section.

Born Afeez Adeshina, Destiny Boy began his career at a young age with a unique Fuji-inspired style.

He started out at T2 Boys Studios in Agege, initially working as a backup dancer for renowned Fuji artist Pasuma.

The singer gained widespread recognition after his 2019 Fuji cover of Davido’s hit song “If,” which quickly went viral on social media.

He later released covers of popular songs by artists such as Tekno, 2 Baba, 9ice, and Small Doctor.

Destiny Boy’s own music catalog includes tracks like Lamba, One Transaction, Gbese, Billion Dollar, Mio Gbonkankan, and Lowkey, showcasing his signature blend of Fuji and contemporary Nigerian sounds.
