Actor Emeka Ike has announced the birth of his baby girl with his South African wife Yolanda Pfeiffer.
The 56-year-old announced the birth of his daughter Chidera Comfort in an Instagram post on Thursday, March 22 which doubles as his birthday.
Emeka clocked 56 shared photos and videos of himself, his wife and the newborn on Instagram.
The Malaika actor named his daughter after his late mum who passed away at age 93 in November 2023.
Emeka Ike said his family has been comforted and God has filled the huge vacuum his mother left behind.
He wrote: “It’s A DOUBLE BLESSING FOR ONE LOSS.
“Happy *BIRTHDAY* to me and WELCOME to baby, Chidera COMFORT Thando Ike.
“The good LORD has filled the huge vacuum that Mama COMFORT Okwuchi Ike left behind, with another COMFORT Chidera T Ike
“My family and l are COMFORTED and can’t ask for any better, this solemn times 💕Thank you to my beautiful wife for taking the pains, of this wonderful gift 💃💯I THANK YOU GOD!!!”
Emeka, a former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), married Yolanda in a low-key wedding in 2019.
They welcomed a baby girl Oluchi in the same year.
A Lagos Island Customary Court had in 2017 dissolved the marriage between Emeka and Emma Suzanne, over irreconcilable differences.
Emma, a teacher, had on July 13, 2015, approached the court to dissolve the 14-year-old marriage between her and the Nollywood actor whom she accused of physically and verbally abusing her all through the duration of their marriage.
Suzanne in the petition filed before the court accused Emeka of incessant beating, molestation, and torture, which she said she could no longer endure.
But Emeka in his response denied beating, molesting, or torturing his wife.
During the promotion of his latest film Malaika, produced by Toyin Abraham, Emeka revisited their marriage saga, insisting that his ex-wife lied.
Emma on her part, granted an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo in which she made more allegations against the actor.
