In the wake of the arrest of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogendengbe in connection with the death of the musician Mohbad, her mother has spoken out to defend her daughter. This development is in response to the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
The 27-year-old artist, known for his song “Peace,” passed away on September 12, 2023, and the autopsy results are still pending. According to the Commissioner of Police CP Idowu Owohunwa, the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, was invited by Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, also known as Spending, to administer injections to Mohbad at his residence. It is believed that these injections may have contributed to a series of reactions leading to Mohbad’s death.
In defense of her daughter, the detained auxiliary nurse’s mother refuted the allegations against her. She explained that the three injections her daughter administered to Mohbad couldn’t have caused his death. According to her, the injections included Tetanus, Paracetamol, and antibiotics meant to treat a swollen hand.
The mother further revealed that her daughter received three years of training as a nurse at a private hospital in Ogun State and had been practicing for a year. She also clarified that her daughter had no prior acquaintance with Mohbad until the day Spending called her to administer treatment. During the treatment, Mohbad’s wife, younger brother, and personal assistant were present.
The mother, a single parent of two, made an emotional plea for support from the public during this challenging time. The situation has become a subject of intense interest and concern, and the investigation is ongoing.
