An accident that almost killed Pete Edochie was caused by excessive drinking, according to the well-known Nollywood actor.
Pete Edochie revealed how his 1977 vehicle accident with a stalled caravan occurred as a consequence of excessive drinking in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. The crash may have taken his life, but God intervened to save him.
Pete Edochie stated that while driving away from Nsukka, he fell asleep at the wheel, colliding with a caravan before crashing into some bushes.
Pete Edochie said that he had once been abducted and had previously had a near-death experience.
“I slid my automobile under a truck. I’ll be honest, I think I may have had too much alcohol. I drove beneath a stopped caravan on March 14th, 1977, in the middle of the night, but thanks to God, I was able to escape.
When I was leaving Nsukka, I once fell asleep behind the wheel. I collided with a caravan and was thrown into a bush as a result. I’ve had several near calls, as I said, but I’m grateful to be alive. I was abducted once myself.
