Mary Njoku, a well-known actress and stage performer from Nigeria, broke down in tears and questioned how Nigerians managed to subsist after spending N664 for toll gate fees.

The actress voiced worry over the country’s inflation in product and service pricing. The amount of money she paid at the toll gate shocked her, she said.

According to Mary Njoku, since President Bola Tinubu assumed office, the cost of food and petrol has significantly increased.

The mother of three inquired of her countrymen how they were coping with the rise in food, gasoline, and service prices in Nigeria.

“I just paid 664 naira for toll gate. Na so e don be? Abi Dem cheat me. It now takes more than the minimum monthly wage to fill the tank of a car. How are people surviving?”.
