Ramos follows Messi out of PSG after disappointing spell

After two disappointing seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, Sergio Ramos has announced his departure from the French club.

Following the expiration of his contract at the club, the veteran center-back is set to depart the French capital, joining Lionel Messi in his exit from the team.

At 37 years old, Sergio Ramos has become a key player for Paris Saint-Germain since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2021. The seasoned defender has already made 57 appearances across various competitions for the French club.

Despite twice winning the Ligue 1 championship, the French club’s inability to win the coveted Champions League trophy marred the player’s time there. As a result, he departs the team with a sense of unfulfilled ambition.

In an Instagram post, the individual stated that tomorrow would mark a significant day in their life as they bid farewell to another chapter, bidding adieu to [PSG]. For this individual, PSG, its fans, and the city of Paris were undoubtedly some of the places where they felt at home.

The exact number of places where one can feel this sense of belonging remains unknown. In a heartfelt message, the individual expressed gratitude for the past two years, during which they were able to participate in every tournament and give their utmost effort.

In their final Ligue 1 match of the season on Saturday, PSG fans will have the opportunity to bid farewell to the Spaniard. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, clubs have already contacted him and he might be traveling to Saudi Arabia.
