Olukayode Ariwoola, who is the Chief Justice of Nigeria, has sworn in Bola Tinubu as President and Kashim Shettima as Vice president.

Justice Ariwoola gave Tinubu and Shettima their oaths of office at Abuja’s Eagles Square on Monday.

Tinubu’s leaders, like Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan, were there to watch him take the oath of office. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who voted for Peter Obi from the Labour Party, was not there.

Remi, who is married to Tinubu, Nana, who is married to Shettima, and Aisha, who is married to Buhari, all watched the event.

African officials like Billy By-Nze, the Prime Minister of Gabon; Alassane Ouattara, the President of the Republic of Cote D’Ivoire; Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana; and Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda, will be at the important event.

A lot of important people, like Akinwumi Adesina, head of the African Development Bank; Aliko Dangote; Femi Otedola; Abdulsamad Rabiu; and Jim Ovia, were also at the opening site.

Service chiefs, heads of security agencies, governors, past governors, current and former ministers, and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are among the other people there.

Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) got 6,984,520 votes; Peter Obi of the Labour Party got 6,101,533 votes to come in third; and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) got 1,496,687 votes. Tinubu won with 8,794,726 votes.

Atiku, the PDP, Obi, and the Labour Party are all in court still challenging Tinubu’s win.
