After much bashing and being disgraced online, Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele D Icon, seems to have succumbed to pressure from fans and followers—he has gone back to take care of his abandoned four kids.
Recall that last week, the entertainer was posted on Instagram’s popular blog, Gistlovers, of shirking his parental responsibilities to the four children he had with his ex wife before getting married to his current woman.
According to the blogger, Ibrahim denied paternity of the kids and abandoned them with his ex wife who couldn’t cater for them.
When videos of where the children live surfaced on the Internet, the actor was widely criticised for letting his children live in such conditions.
However, reacting to the accusation in an Instagram post on Saturday, Itele promised to perform his duty as a father to his children, he also appreciated those who reached out to him and apologised to the people he hurt.
“I love my kids and I promise to do the needful henceforth, I am apologizing to the general public to please forgive my earlier outburst and disregard it, To my Fans worldwide, God bless everyone and to those who reached out too, I appreciate it a lot, Thank you,” he wrote in parts.
The actor kept to his words as seen in a video posted on his Instagram page on Sunday where he took his kid on a shopping spree. In the video, Itele D Icon is seen buying clothes for his children.
