…Dapo Abiodun, Ooni, Chima Anyaso, Others Come To His Aid
For ‘billionaire’ businessman, Sijibomi Ogundele aka Sujimoto, this is double tragedy.
Not only has the ‘billionaire’ luxury real estate mogul lost his darling father to the cold hands of death, his once-upon-a-time wealthy treasury seems to have suffered a decline.
Consequently, the businessman, who is known to have influential and wealthy friends and business partners, has taken to seeking financial support from all and sundry as he is set to bury his father.
Sujimoto as he is fondly called, has been the target of donations from friends and partners who have rallied support by raising funds for his dad’s burial.
Among such influential personalities are the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who donated N2m; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who gave N1m; Mr Chima Anyaso, who also sent N1m to Sujimoto.
There are many other sympathizers too who gave between N500m, N100K and more.
Already over N20 million has been gathered from friends and other well-wishers who sympathised with the businessman.
Sources disclosed to Kemi Ashefon that this is the third time Sujimoto will be begging for donations from people. The first time was in 2020 during the lockdown, when he solicited for money to buy and distribute palliatives for the masses. Although, several millions of naira was raised, just a measley amount was injected into the project. The rest went into some other private projects.
Then, last April while he was preparing for his 40th birthday, Sujimoto went on a begging spree again. He solicited for financial mobilisation, some of which he used to host his party.
Sujimoto built his company – Sujimoto Group, in a few years into a Luxury Construction behemoth in Africa; focused on building extraordinary luxury edifices in premium neighbourhoods across Africa. A young man who grew up in Agege, Lagos, his rise to wealth through construction remains one of the grass-to-grace stories that ever motivate the downtrodden.
