A viral video of one Dr Akanni Omidina has surfaced online where he claimed to be a son to the late Yoruba actor/comic Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe.

With a Ghanaian accent, the medical doctor revealed to journalists at the Ikorodu residence of the late thespian that he was raised by his mum who never disclosed to him his paternity until recently.

“It’s not something that I am proud to say… that I didn’t really know my father. It’s a common scenario in the society that some parents don’t know their kids until they pass away. My story is not common because my father was there, and my mother knew him and I was busy looking for him.,” he said in part.

The thespian, Baba Suwe, died on Monday November 22, 2021 after an illness.  He was born on August 22, 1958 in Inabere Street in Lagos Island where he grew up but hailed from Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State, southwestern Nigeria.
