Socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, has shut down his Abuja club, Hustle & Bustle.
To the businessman, the death of one of his clients is a loss and he would rather not operate his club business.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Anambra-born club owner r known revealed why he closed the club.
It was gathered that the clubber died over the weekend but the circumstances of the death could not be ascertained as of press time.
In the same vein, an Instagram statement posted by Cubana and his club, Hustle & Bustle, read, “We are closed till further notice. This is due to the loss of our esteemed client.
“We are deeply saddened by this situation and need time to heal from it. Our prayers are with the family of the lost soul. May her soul Rest In Peace. We sympathise with the family on this unbearable loss.
“Kindly bear with us as we pass through this storm.”
Cubana was recently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for three days over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
He was, however, released on administrative bail but it was gathered that he might be required to visit the EFCC headquarters from time to time until the conclusion of investigation.
Cubana became a social media sensation and the rave of the moment in July after the ‘naira rain’ at the burial of his mother in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Several videos went viral that showed celebrities, businessmen and politicians spraingy money indiscriminately during a concert held after the interment of the deceased.
Scores of cows were also reportedly slaughtered at the event which many described as ostentatious.
