Barely a day after rumours of Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo’s broken engagement went viral on social media, his supposed fiancee, Fancy Acholonu, has come out to speak.
The US-basedactress/model took to her verified Instagram page to announce the end of her relationship with the Nollywood star, adding that the marriage plans have also been called off.
Acholonu who is a US-based model explained that while it may have come as a shock to many people, it was the ‘best decision’ for herself as she believes it is important for people to find happiness and live their truth.
In her words:
On Tueday,it was observed that Alex Ekubo, and his fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Amid the breakup rumours, they have also deleted the joint Instagram page which they shared.
They were looking forward to their wedding in November before the latest development.
The duo got engaged in May 2021 and shared a photo of themselves together.
Back then, Ekubo had written, “I asked the love of my life @fancyacholonu to marry me” and Fancy also reposted the same picture and captioned it, “I said yes to the love of my life”.
The couple were slated to hold their traditional and white wedding on the 20th and 27th of November respectively.
