The burial ceremony of late former Zimbabwe president, Robert Mugabe, has been postponed.
According to ZimiLive, the burial which was scheduled for Sunday has now been postponed without the new date known.
Leo Mugabe, the spokesman of Mugabe’s family, however stated that Mugabe would be buried in a traditional way because he was a chief.
He said, “Mugabe was a chief and he will be buried in accordance with tradition. The chiefs have not told us where he will be buried, so it is not clear yet. I also don’t know”.
Mugabe is the longest serving president of Zimbabwe. In 2017, he was forced to resign after his party had internal crisis.
He was announced dead at the early hours of Friday at age 95.
