Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for publicly declaring his assets.
The governor had late Monday, made public his assets which include landed property (developed and undeveloped), household items, shares, and cash worth N48 billion.
Atiku, in a tweet on Tuesday, said the declaration was testament to integrity and accountability worthy of emulation.
“@seyiamakinde, the trailblazing PDP governor of Oyo State’s feat in publicly declaring his assets is a testament to integrity and accountability worthy of emulation,” Atiku said
The governor, who visited the Oyo State office of the Code of Conduct Bureau in Ibadan to receive a copy of the asset declaration form, said his decision to make the assets public was in fulfilment of his electoral promise.
