Four women have engaged one another in a fight in a Kenyan mortuary over who had a claim on the body of a dead man.
The deceased, Peter Gichobu, a taxi driver, was said to have died in an accident about a month ago.
The 32-year-old man, it was learnt, had a son with each of the women.
The women have been identified as Janet Wambui, Lydia Wanjiru, Susan Wakuthii.
The fourth woman is yet to be identified.
Police officers had to intervene when the women struggled to claim the body at Kirinyaga County Funeral Parlour.
Authorities at the morgue have said they would give the death certificate to the deceased’s next of kin who was his uncle.
Reports say the women were promised inclusion in the distribution of the deceased’s wealth.
