A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking to halt the announcement of Bauchi state Gubernatorial election.
The suit was specifically challenging the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conclude, collate, and announce the governorship election results from Tafawa Balewa Local Government in Bauchi State.
The gubernatorial election is practically concluded in favour of the opposition PDP but for the suit.
In his ruling on Monday, the presiding judge Justice Inyang Ekwo dismissed the suit because according to him, the court lacked jurisdiction on the case.
The coast is now clear for INEC to declare Sen Bala Mohammed as duly elected.
