This is real trouble for Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall and his fans in London, United Kingdom.

Currently, many socialites who are prominent Nigerians in London are calling for a refund from the Olori Omooba of Ijebu Ode.

Moreover, they want justice served and have vowed to deal with K1 on this burning issue.

The cause of the brouhaha emanated from a show K1 performed at the 50th birthday of a businesswoman, Adejoke Braimoh in London.

She was said to have invited K1 and paid him huge sums of pounds for his job. The party, which held two weeks ago, had the trappings of a celebrity event with many of the celebrant’s friends from all parts of the world in attendance.

Then, the hour to have K1 perform for her popped up. First, when the celebrant had her first outing and wanted to dance into the hall with her friends who wore aso ebi, K1 told her he wasn’t ready but was seen interacting with associates who arrived with him.

After much prodding, he performed and the celebrant danced with her friends. By the time they reached the stage, he sang a few minutes with celebrant’s name mentioned in his songs.

Suddenly, he switched to his fans and friends names and started praising them. This lasted for over an hour!

However, the celebrant had her second entrance in another outfit. This time, K1 almost didn’t mention their names! Rather, he kept hailing his fans who came uninvited to the party.

One of the guests at the party, who craved anonymity, disclosed that the day would have been ruined but for the intervention of a gospel musician, Laolu Gbenjo.

She revealed, “But for gospel artiste, Laolu Gbenjo, who was present, Alhaji K1 would have messed up the day for the celebrant.

Laolu wasn’t slated for that Saturday’s party but had performed for the celebrant two days earlier when she organised a praise party to mark her birthday in London.

So, his presence  was a relief because Alhaji K1, after a two-hour performance, told the celebrant that he was leaving!

“Thankfully, Laolu Gbenjo was invited on stage to perform since Alhaji had settled down with some fans where he was seen talking, drinking and eating with them.

The celebrant had to beckon on Laolu to help entertain her guests. Initially, he (Alhaji ) wanted to protest but the guests insisted on having Laolu.

After a while, Alhaji and his entourage left the party amidst boos from guests. ‘E ma lo, e ma lo’ (Please leave)they booed him in the Yoruba language.”

Already, Fuji lovers in London have taken this matter up and vowed to ensure sanity whenever any musician is in London to perform. Will they succeed? Time will tell.
