Its been a lingering topic among celebrities. Many were not sure what befell the once-upon-a-time enviable union of model/actor Gbenro Ajibade and his wife, Osas Ighodaro.
The entertaining celebrity couple got married in July 2015 and have a 2-year-old baby girl together.
Known to do many things together, it was a surprise when Gbenro didn’t acknowledge his wife’s birthday on October 26. 
Also, a close check on Gbenro’s Instagram page shows he had unfollowed his wife, deleted all her photos and he now lives in the United States.
Even Osas celebrated her birthday alone and shared adorable photos alone.
No mention of her man or daughter in all her posts. It was obvious she was trying to hide anything that would prompt questions about her man and marriage.
Meanwhile, vacationing alone in Florida, Gbenro has disabled his comment section and seems to have discarded his wife in Nigeria.
Before the separation, many fans had accused him of marrying Osas because of her US citizenship, Gbenro, in an interview said, he married for love, not green card.
Though a citizen of the United States now, Gbenro initially made everyone believe he wasn’t interested in the green card.
He said in 2017, “Right now, I have a bone to crack with her family (Osas’) because they think I am intentionally refusing to do my green card. I have not done it even now. It is funny how people think. I and Osas had been legally married in a court in the US two years even before the public knew we were going out. If I had wanted green card, I would have done it since but I felt it would be a distraction. I didn’t marry her because of that.”
Talking about how he ended up marrying Osas, Gbenro said it was never his intention to get married let alone marrying a beauty queen.
“I was one of such persons who swore never to get married. I had an impression about marriage and love. It wasn’t up until I met the right person that the perception changed. Osas was my friend. The first time she came into the country, she even used to drop me off at my girlfriend’s house. We were that close up until the time we became really close. We had mutual interest and she had my back. Then, I had faced so many injuries from back stabbing and snitches. Our friendship is what has been keeping us going.”
But with cracks on the walls of this enviable union, we pray it doesn’t crash like most celebrity marriages.
