When Nollywood actress Abimbola Ogunowo started posting pre-wedding photos of herself and filmmaker, Okiki Afolayan, many were happy for her.
The actress, who also sells bleaching body creams, went ahead to make the announcements and inundated Instagram with preparations for her wedding, the bridal shower and then on Thursday, October 4, 2018, she was at the Ikoyi registry with her beau, Okiki for the civil wedding.
Just as fans and followers jubilated with the couple, then the rumour mill went agog with the news that Abimbola, a single mum of a 5-year-old girl, must have been pregnant for another man when she broke up with Okiki aka Afo.
Though not fresh revelation, many felt it was unnecessary talking about that on her wedding day. In the same vein, the actress has always posted photos of her daughter, Aliyah on her IG handle. As a matter of fact, she posted photos of her daughter in July when the girl clocked five.
When contacted on the issue, the new groom, Afo confirmed that not only is Bimbo a single mum, he is aware of this and has accepted the 5-year-old as his.
An excited Afo, who is popular among actresses due to his production skills said, “My Wedding comes up this Saturday October 6, 2018 at Time Square, Ikeja, Lagos. The Nikkai Service will come up by 10am to 11am and the engagement follows immediately. Subsequently, Boye Best will be on Bandstand to entertain guests. Alhaji Sule Alao Malaika and other big stars will also be in the building. Concerning the baby girl she has, I am aware but you know what? I don’t care about that because it doesn’t matter. Love covers everything. The child is part of her happiness and I have promised to always make her happy. So, we are all aware and we are happy about it. I have no business with anybody. The truth of the matter is that, we are both happy about our love life and we pray to be happy forever and ever in the journey. Amen.”
