Mrs. Yemisi Smart Adeyemi, wife of the immediate past lawmaker who represented Kogi West senatorial district at the Senate between 2007 -2015, is dead.
The Co-ordinator of Smart Adeyemi Vanguard Lokoja chapter, Barr. Labaran confirmed this in a short statement on Saturday.
Barr. Labaran wrote: “With deepest and heart felt sorrow I condole our Distinguished senator Smart for the sudden lost of his beloved wife today, we pray that Almighty give you the strength to bear this sudden great loss!”
Yemisi Smart Adeyemi was a former newscaster at the NTA Ilorin where she met her husband and their relationship eventually blossomed into marriage.
Until her death she was the coordinator of her NGO Mannah Dew Charity Foundation which reached out to indigent women in her husband’s constituency and even beyond.
