By 10.am, the remains had arrived and close family members and friends had a view of the late actress’ corpse.

Indeed, it was a sad moment for Moji’s daughter, Adunola who cried all through the event but was consoled by family members.

After a session of prayers by Islamic clerics, Moji’s remains were interred.

Born to the family of music icon, Victor Olaiya, Mojisola became popular when she featured in Wale Adenuga’s TV series of Super Story.

She delved into Nollywood and acted in many movies.
Her conversion to Islam a few years back sparked speculations that she was dating a rich Muslim who converted her. But Moji’s argument was, “Honestly, Islam is a peaceful religion. The aspect I love most is that you don’t need any pastor to get closer to God. You don’t really need anybody to pray for you. You can always pray on your own and Almighty Allah will answer your prayer without any intermediary. I have been doing that since I became a Muslim and it has always worked for me.”

She travelled to have her baby in Canada, had the baby in March 2017 and was said to have developed complications as a result of the pre-term birth. She died two months after childbirth as a result of cardiac arrest.

Survived by parents, siblings and two daughters, Moji Olaiya was buried a Muslim.

Adieu.
