Still on the issue of domestic violence against his wife, Mercy Aigbe, the hotelier husband was charged to court today.
He didn’t appear in court because he claimed to be on hospital admission.
For Nollywood actress who dragged her husband to court on the assault he meted out to her penultimate week, she would still get justice.
According to her, her estranged hsuabdn has not only lied but connived with the Nigeria Police to deny her of justice and she would not be deterred.
Sharing a copy of the CT scan she had on her brain, she wrote on Instagram:
“Why will a man who claims to love you, beat you to the extent of breaking your skull?………wat was my crime? @asiwajulanregentry you have to tell the world what my crime was?…… Now you are on the run!……. trying to connive with the police so I won’t get justice!!!!!!!…… lanre you can run but you can’t hide, you can tell all the LIES in this world but trust me at the end of it all the TRUTH will prevail and I will get Justice……. People keep saying I shouldn’t talk and that I should think of our child………. but you keep threatening to kill me, why I don’t know!!!!!!!!!!!….. Now that you are conniving with the police I don’t feel safe and I have to cry out!………..
We were supposed to be in court this morning and you lied that you are on Admission and can’t be in court!

The four-year-old union that has produced a son was placed on the front burner of discussions on Friday April 28, when pictures of a battered Mercy’s face went viral on social media. The actress’ husband Lanre Gentry was said to have inflicted the injuries on her while the couple had a fight during the Easter holiday. Also in the media was a copy of a CT scan she carried out after the violence on her which indicated that she had a fracture in her skull.
She was reported to have been on admission at a hospital where she was treated as a result of the assault.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lola Akande also confirmed the state Mercy was brought to the ministry when the incident happened. She said the actress was coughing out blood and her nose was gushing out blood too.
